2. Scope and service
These terms govern the web and mobile services of RunInTeam. RunInTeam supports the management of runs, routes, events and teams and the live tracking of positions voluntarily shared by runners. The service is currently free of charge. A contract is formed when the user accepts these terms during registration.
3. Registration and account
- Registration requires a name, nickname, valid email address and password.
- The account can be used after opening the confirmation link sent by email.
- One active account may belong to an active email address.
- The user is responsible for keeping login credentials confidential and for activity performed through the account.
- A minor may use the service only with the appropriate consent of a legal guardian.
4. Routes, location data and live links
A user may create or import a route, start a run and permit the device to transmit location data. The live view may display the planned race route, the completed path, current position, distance, nickname and selected animal icon.
During a team or relay run, several runners may appear on the same live link with separate markers. The link is not listed in a public searchable directory, but anyone who receives it can open it. The user sharing the link is responsible for choosing its recipients and forwarding it safely.
Completed routes and activity details may remain available for replay until the user deletes them or the account.
5. Acceptable use
The service must not be used unlawfully, to track another person without permission, overload the system, perform automated abuse, obtain unauthorised access or infringe another person’s rights. The uploader is responsible for uploaded content, routes and shared information.
6. GPS accuracy and safety
RunInTeam is not an emergency, rescue or personal safety service. Position data may be delayed, inaccurate or interrupted because of GPS conditions, mobile coverage, battery, buildings or device settings. The map does not replace direct communication or event safety rules.
7. Availability and updates
The provider aims for continuous operation, but maintenance, faults or third-party outages may cause interruptions. Android releases downloadable from the website may contain security or functional fixes, and support for obsolete releases may end.
8. Intellectual property
The RunInTeam name, visual identity, code and proprietary content belong to the provider or its licensors. Users retain rights in their own content and grant the limited, non-exclusive permission required to operate the service.
9. Suspension and deletion
A user may request account deletion through the profile. Access may be restricted or terminated for a serious or repeated breach, security risk or legal obligation.
10. Liability
The provider is liable within mandatory legal limits. The provider is not responsible for damage caused by the user’s device or connection, inaccurate GPS data, an improperly shared live link, or an external map or infrastructure provider. This does not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
11. Changes
These terms may change due to changes in the service or law. Material changes will be announced on the website and, where appropriate, by email at least 15 days before taking effect.
12. Law and contact
Hungarian law applies. Questions and complaints may be sent to info@run-in-team.com. The parties will first attempt an amicable resolution; otherwise the competent court is determined under applicable procedural law.
